This practice reflects the inner struggle of Michelangelo to capture the idealised perfection of women as he had done so for men, deeming it his own "terra incognita". 08/2024 | ![]() I was immediately struck by this piece when visiting the Borghese gallery. Its large size and striking subject matter dominate what is otherwise a small, compact venue.
